Admission Procedure

Visit the Campus

Prospective students are normally encouraged to visit the seminary campus prior to application. The visit usually involves an informal interview with the Academic Dean. The prospective student is welcome to visit classes, participate in school life for one day and talk with the students, faculty, and staff.

Furnish an Application File

An application package can be requested from the seminary or it can also be downloadable in PDF format online from the seminary website. Components of a complete application file are:

  • A duly filled-in and completed application
  • A Rs 500/- fee for the application package, registration, processing and interview
  • Self-attested copies of all transcripts from college/university attended. Original transcript(s) should be produced during the time of interview. The academic transcript(s) should confirm the applicant’s completion of the Bachelor’s/Master’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • A statement of the applicant’s past Christian experience, including conversion, subsequent commitments, significant spiritual events and formative influences in life, and describing reason for wanting to enter Christian ministry. (1 to 2 pages typed/printed).
  • Two letters of recommendation, as follows:
  1. A letter from the applicant’s pastor in his/her church/denomination who knows the applicant’s spiritual progress and character.
  2. A letter from a professor of an applicant’s last attended college/university who is familiar with the applicant’s academic background and character.

It should be noted that once an application is submitted to OTS for admission, it will automatically become the property of the seminary and therefore, in no way will the application and other related documents be returned.
