IN MEMORIAM: KESOLENUO SUOKHRIE (1986-2020)
The beloved ones of Kesolenuo Suokhrie, fondly called Keso by all, a promising and aspiring intellectual quintessence to the Nagas and beyond, who anticipated her continued presence in their lives are pained over the loss of this irreplaceable young wonderful woman. Yetwhat is greater above all the desolation is, the celebration of her exemplary and impeccable victorious life in Christ, such rich legacy we might wish to apply to our lives.
Keso was born on March 17, 1986 in Kohima.A woman of faithwho responded to God’s calling and ferventlypursued theological studies to serve the Lord, sheinitially began her theological studies atShalom Bible Seminary in Sechű, Kohima and earned aBachelor of Theology degree in 2009. She then continued her higher studiesat Oriental Theological Seminary (OTS), Bade, Dimapur and earned the Master of Divinity degree in 2013. At OTS, she became the first student tograduate withthe highest academic distinction, the summa cum laude. After serving as anintern atOTS for a yearshewent on to pursue theMaster of Theologyprogram and earned the degree in Old Testamentfrom Whitley College, Melbourne, Australia.Upon her return in 2015 shecame on boardas afaculty member at OTS in the rank of Assistant Professor. In October 2019, Keso left for her PhD studies at Durham University in England, UK till her passing away in the city of Durham in June 2020.
Though as brief her sojourn was with us, Kesohas touched the lives of many with herkind, generous, spirited and open heart. A living inspiration she was and will continue to be for many more lives, she is a beacon of prayers, wisdomand resoluteness to all those who have known her and whose lives have been impacted immeasurably. The imprints of her life have just begun and we will recall her life more than ever before.
You left, only to become closer to our hearts and thoughts
You loved, only to instil the spirit of selfless love
You lived, only to teach how uplifting a true living can be
Gone today faithfully yet only to be hopeful about tomorrow
To gather at the throne of Grace.
The family and OTS community are very grateful to the many souls who came forward to care for Keso in her passing.
